Hi Blog Viewers! Welcome back; today I will be talking about our use of literacy recently. In small groups of about 4-8, we discuss and read a selected book every day. My selected book is 'When the War Came Home' which is about teen called Jimmy in 1918 Auckland. With his family gone to the countryside to help out a relative, Jimmy and his PTSD-affected uncle, war hero Rory to survive the influenza epidemic sweeping the city. I chose this story because it looked mildly, Interesting, among the others.
This new approach to reading is different, and probably not my most preferential style, but is not my most loathsome either. I am looking forward to the ending; the book is very climatic!
