Hello! Welcome to my post concerning my speech! In the past two weeks, we have been creating, perfecting, and presenting speeches in our reading groups. There have been a lot of different topics and types of speeches, but among them I believe I achieved a respectable score. I remember being very nervous in front of everyone in the room, but once I started talking, the nerves just went away. I'm not the best at public speaking, but being confident in yourself really helps!
Also, here's a link to my speech: Link

Kia ora, I am a student at St Francis of Assisi Catholic School. Welcome to my blog. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas. Please note that some work shared on here may be my first draft, and may not be edited, so there may be some surface errors.

Collaboration Rubric Reflection
Hello Blog viewers, Today I'm making a second post on Collaboration, again on how well I work with pairs. I think I have some or most of the qualities required to be a good pair collaborator. I can work well with a partner and produce work to a high standard while with them, using appropriate voices while communicating. It's good that when I am working with a buddy I typically feel involved and engaged, and not being judged for my ideas or perspectives. I am very happy on how well I can work with people, but I can always improve!
How well do you work with other people, people that you know and don't know?

Winter Sport
After a great and fulfilling season throughout Term 2 and 3, Winter Sport has finally come to an end. Trying something new was a challenge for me, but I was satisfied with the outcome. Year 7/8 Football was an interesting endeavor, we may not of had the best team, but we were always high in spirit and enthusiasm. Winter Sport was always something to look forward to, and constantly engaging. It was a great end to a season full of fun, and our team even got into Centrals!
Here is an animation I made based on our season at Hagley Park:

Coding Showcase!
Hey all, sorry for my absence in posts, I have been away for a couple of weeks. But today, I am here to show off some of my coding projects! These projects have been created using Scratch, a fun website that you can use to make anything you want! You don't even need an account (you will need to one to save your projects though). Here are some of my projects:

Digital Badge
I have earned a Gold Level Smart Learning Badge. This means I have achieved and understand how to use the following on Google Docs:
- Add and use a bookmark
- Insert and use a graph
- Use Voice Typing
- Insert a footnote
- Insert an equation
- Insert a special character
- Use Add-ons
- Edit a table (outline)
- Change bullet-point sprite
- Insert a chart using Google Sheets
- Copy to clipboard
- Fullscreen
It is important that we know how to use these tools because it then means we can use Google Docs to its full use. I believe that one day everyone should be at a gold level, because then everyone in our classroom will be a good digital user!
